The Loan Processor position is responsible for processing loans and providing follow-up for loan files from application to closing. Maintain files through payoff. Assist loan officers with all needs on a day-to-day basis. Prepare reports and assist with Audits and Exams.

Primary Duties

  • Provide administrative assistance to loan officers with all needs on a day-to-day basis
  • Input all loan information along with creating loan documents,filing, uploading,and all follow-up for loans as needed
  • Ensure that documents contain proper signatures, dates, and other relevant data
  • Maintain system to ensure security interest is filed and preserved, i.e. UCC's, SA's, Mortgages, etc.
  • Assemble and maintain files and scan documents to system in a timely manner
  • Process loan denials and loan application withdrawals
  • Mail out paid loan documents and satisfying collateral as needed
  • Monthly and quarterly loan reporting
  • Pull credit reports as needed by officers and credit analysts
  • Appraisal bidding and ordering, and Market Evaluation ordering
  • Provide quotes and process payoffs
  • Make and receive customer phone calls
  • Work with internal and external auditors, as necessary
  • Continue training as needed to remain compliant with all loan regulations
  • Prepare monthly reporting, i.e. credit life, force-placed insurance, etc.

Skills Required

  • Loan processing experience required
  • Some College preferred
  • Possess strong communication, oral, writing, and listening skills
  • Control accuracy and mitigate risk
  • Maintain current knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Good time-management and organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize work assignments and requests
  • Perform well under pressure with day-to-day demands
  • Practice good teamwork internally while working with cross-functional teams and meeting the needs of multiple loan officers
  • Must possess a positive attitude while assisting internal and external customers
  • Successful completion of in-house training
